Key Responsibilities:
* Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of payroll professionals.
* Run regular check-ins, performance reviews, and training sessions.
* Help plan workloads, schedule payrolls, and maintain high accuracy and productivity.
* Approve timesheets, leave, and other team administration.
Payroll Excellence:
* Oversee payroll processing for a portfolio of clients.
* Ensure payrolls meet all legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
* Review and improve existing processes, introducing smarter and more efficient ways of working.
* Support automation and system updates to keep things running smoothly.
Client Focused:
* Be a trusted point of contact for clients – approachable, knowledgeable, and dependable.
* Help the team manage client queries quickly and effectively.
* Support the onboarding of new clients and make sure service expectations are clear.
* Monitor feedback and work with your team to maintain excellent client satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Strong payroll experience, ideally in a bureau or multi-client environment.
* Previous team lead or supervisory experience, or the ability to step into leadership confidently.
* A solid understanding of Irish payroll legislation and reporting.
* Excellent attention to detail and a passion for accuracy.
* Great communication and problem-solving skills – you know how to stay calm under pressure.
* A positive, can-do attitude and genuine care for your team and clients.
