**Quality Controller Job Vacancy**
The role of a Quality Control Specialist is to maintain HACCP procedures and quality control on a daily basis, reporting directly to the Technical Manager in daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Work with specifications as per customers' and suppliers' requirements
* Communicate product quality with suppliers and item management
* Monitoring and reporting of quality standards to item management daily (raw material stock and pre-pack stock)
* Responsible for the Traceability System and Production recording, including maintaining full traceability of stock from intake to dispatch
* Capacity to identify root cause analysis and communicate clearly to relevant staff
* Liaise with all relevant item management regarding customer requirements and product quality issues
* Logging supplier performance
* Carry out hygiene/GMP audits
* Carry out internal audits
* Assisting staff with information regarding product quality, legality, and hygiene
* Assisting the Technical Manager in resolving any quality issues or other tasks as necessary
* Expected to carry out any additional duties that may be assigned by the Organisation from time to time
Key Skills and Competencies:
* Qualifications/Experience: A degree in Food Science or similar is essential. Minimum of 5 years experience in the fresh produce industry
* HACCP Level 3 is essential
* BRCGS Version 9 experience
* Experience in Food Safety audits

* Excellent communication/verbal/written skills
* Excellent attention to detail in relation to quality and traceability
* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
* Flexible to the needs of the business
