Clinical Facilitator Role
We are seeking a motivated professional to lead the development of critical care skills within our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our nursing management team to deliver high-quality teaching and learning initiatives, focusing on patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure teaching and learning programs reflect current research in critical care practice.
* Participate in competency assessments and formulate learning outcome plans for staff who do not meet clinical competency criteria.
* Contribute to orientation and induction processes for new staff members.
* Act as an effective role model by demonstrating skilled nursing care and specialist knowledge in Critical Care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 5 years of post-registration experience, with 3 years in Critical Care or a related area.
* Demonstrated managerial and administrative capacity to discharge clinical functions.
* Evidence of continuing professional development at an appropriate level (Critical Care Nursing Qualification or postgraduate Diploma).
* IT skills, particularly in word processing and presentation software.
* Experience in teaching and assessing nursing care teams, with advanced critical care equipment experience desirable.

Maintain annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Eligibility Criteria: Must have at least 5 years post registration experience, 3 of which years must be within the Critical Care or related area.
