Salary: Grade 3 £24,404 to £25,183 per annum pro rata

About the Candidate
We are looking for:
* Experience of removing barriers for children/young people with learning difficulties, including EAL, INA, and special educational needs such as social, emotional health difficulties, and communication challenges, including severe, profound, or complex learning difficulties where appropriate.
* Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age groups.
* Understanding of inclusion, equality, and diversity, and promoting equal opportunities for all.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent in Maths and English).
* Fluent English communication skills, including grammar in spoken and written language.
* Ability to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers, recognizing their role in children's learning.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and seek help when needed.
* Understanding of the role of Teaching Assistants and other classroom professionals.
* Ability to use relevant technology, e.g., Interactive Whiteboards, Internet, photocopier.
* Knowledge of the national/foundation stage curriculum and basic learning strategies.
* Understanding of strategies to support children with SEND, including communication, language, social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Basic understanding of child development and impacts of trauma or adverse experiences.
* Willingness to undertake minor first aid training and manage pupils' intimate care needs.
* Good attendance and punctuality.
* Personal qualities such as effective communication, self-motivation, flexibility, and high expectations of pupils.
* Commitment to continuous self-development and school improvement.
* Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks.
