Job Description SummaryThe Material Planner is working in the Materials Management Team as a key link between Fulfillment, Operations, Planning, Engineering and Procurement functions. He/she enables timely delivery of materials and documentation to the production, considering inventory and WIP of the factory, while also contributing to the scheduling and planning of the manufacturing. This role is involved from the first step of the fulfilment process of a project until the last milestone, therefore MRP controller is a key contributor to OTD.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesMonitoring the project status and compare with master schedule – proactive initiation of corrective actions in case of deviations from master plan. That includes setting up task-force meetings with production stakeholders, creating and implementing new projects plan and – if necessary – the reporting of those plans.Ensure timely release of technical documents; Act as SPOC (single point of contact) with product engineering; Assign production engineering with the master data preparation.Creation of purchase requisitions for all project relevant parts and consequently tracking of an on-time delivery of those purchased componentsMaintain, control and ensure correct SAP & APS relevant master data structure including proactive measurements.Scheduling, preparation and conduction of customer witness pointsHandling of transport duties to suppliers of GE Vernova Birr - both inland and abroad.Organizing and managing the external supplier jobs in Rotor factoryInventory Management.Disposition of NCR decisions in productionSupports Fulfillment Leader(s) in customer care - works on Customer satisfaction, understands demand trends and supports proposal giving.Leads simple, straightforward process improvement projects related to Materials & ManufacturingRequired QualificationsApprenticeship in the field of engineering, material management or manufacturing controlAny additional education or experience in the field of material and supply chain managementBasic knowledge of Generator production or similar industrial productionExperience with ERP systems (SAP), particularly in the areas of production planning, scheduling, MRP and inventory managementsProficiency with MS Office tools and web-based applicationsLanguage skills: fluent in English & GermanDesired CharacteristicsDedication to customer service and fulfillmentTeam player, creates a culture of collaboration - ability to work with remote teams effectivelyDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems (critical thinking)Direct contact with external stakeholders - hence representing the company to suppliers/customersStrong coordination and organizing abilitiesAdditional Information
