Director of Data

As Director of Data, you will lead distributed analytics teams and ensure that advanced data products, predictive insights, and business intelligence solutions deliver tangible value.
This role is at the forefront of operational excellence and strategic growth, influencing outcomes across Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Customer functions.
You will report directly to senior leadership and serve as a trusted strategic partner to directors and executives.
The successful candidate will define the vision for data and analytics and deliver on it — balancing long-term strategy with agile execution to ensure the organisation maximises the full value of its data assets.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the senior interface between the enterprise transformation programme and executive stakeholders.
Translate business strategy into high-impact data and analytics initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.
Champion a culture of insight-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Lead the delivery of predictive models, dashboards, and advanced analytics solutions aligned to business priorities.
Drive governance and data quality standards to ensure insights are trusted, secure, and scalable.
Mentor, develop, and lead a distributed team of analytics professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure analytics directly supports enterprise objectives, from revenue growth to customer experience and operational efficiency.
Experience & Qualifications
8+ years' senior experience in data, analytics, or business intelligence leadership within large-scale or regulated environments.
Proven track record of delivering enterprise-level data programmes that unlock measurable business value.
Strong knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Tableau Cloud), governance, and AI/ML applications.
Strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, able to influence at board and executive level.
Skilled at leading diverse teams and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
Airline industry experience is essential
, with a deep understanding of aviation-specific operational and commercial metrics (e.g., RASK/CASK, OTP, NPS, CO2).
