This is a full-time role offering exposure to payroll operations and reward structures, with opportunities to contribute to broader HR initiatives including job architecture development.Principal AccountabilitiesCollate, prepare, and input one monthly (circa 850 employees) and six quarterly payrolls via an outsourced providerEnsure accuracy of all payment and deduction instructionsPrepare monthly and quarterly payroll signoffs and statutory returns (e.g., ROS, pension returns, reconciliations, SLA)Respond to payroll-related queries professionally and accuratelyComplete relevant social welfare formsAdminister company benefit schemes including pensions, healthcare, and other rewardsSupport pension scheme operations including reporting, compliance, and reconciliationsProcess payroll and HR-related invoices through the NTMA PO systemApprove employee setup and changes in the HR system for payroll inclusionParticipate in employee induction presentations with payroll and benefits guidanceProvide manual payroll calculations for employee queriesMaintain and update HR proceduresContribute to the implementation and documentation of job architecture frameworks as they relate to compensation and benefitsCollaborate with HR colleagues to support initiatives and drive continuous improvementExperience RequirementsIPASS qualifiedMinimum 3+ years' experience in payroll processing, with strong working knowledge of Irish tax, PRSI, and levy calculationsExperience collaborating cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure seamless payroll deliveryProven ability to operate within a strong audit and compliance framework, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and adherence to regulatory standardsTrack record of supporting team goals, contributing to shared success, and participating in process improvement initiativesComfortable working with HRIS, with a high level of systems literacyDemonstrated experience in pension scheme support and reward/benefits management, including coordination with external providersExposure to HR operations and job architecture frameworks would be beneficialSkillsIPASS Qualified or equivalentVendor management and Oversight experienceExceptional numerical accuracy and attention to detailStrong prioritisation and task management abilitiesHigh level of systems literacyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCollaborative team player with strong interpersonal capabilitiesThorough knowledge of Irish and European data protection legislationPension AbatementIf an appointee has previously been employed in the Civil or Public Service and that appointee is entitled to or in receipt of a pension from the Civil or Public Service or where a Civil/Public Service pension comes into payment during the appointee's re-employment that pension will be subject to abatement in accordance with Section 52 of the Public Service Pensions (Single Scheme and other Provisions) Act 2012.Please note: In applying for this position, you are acknowledging that you understand that the abatement provisions, where relevant, will apply.
