Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking an experienced, passionate, and creative HR Assistant to support our HR operations at our vibrant four-star property located in the heart of Dublin's cultural quarter. The hotel operates two dynamic venues — Buskers Bar and Buskers On The Ball — offering a high-volume, fast-paced food and beverage environment focused on quality, innovation, and exceptional guest experiences.Are you an organized, proactive, and creative individual passionate about supporting people and shaping a positive workplace culture? If you're ready to take the next step in your HR career and bring your energy and ideas to a dynamic organization, we want to hear from you.This role is ideal for canidates looking to kickstart their career in HR or people who have recently completed college in the area of Human Resources.PeopleResponsibilities of the HR Assistant (Human Resources):Promote a positive culture within the hotel and all departments.Support HOD's in performance management.Enforce company policies and procedures and be able to advise on these and support management through various employee relation cases that may arise.Support Management in the recruitment, selection and interviewing process.Ensure a strong welcome, orientation and onboarding is delivered to new starters within the company.To be pro-efficient and organised on all administrative tasks which will be set by your line manager.Ensure monthly departmental meetings are held.Support in ensuring high standards of uniforms and ordering stock when required.Support in Disciplinaries, Investigations and Performance reviews. This could be in the capacity of a note taker, investigating officer or disciplinary officer.EngagementTo support the hotel and company achieve new certifications.Support and work on various projects as directed by your line manager.Create and implement team activities and team building exercises.Support in designing and implementing a positive employer brand.Coordinate employee awards and team events.Coordinate celebration for milestones, birthdays and anniversaries and special moments within the teams at Temple Bar Hotel.Promote Open Door policy for team members.Ensure day to day engagement with team members and presence around the hotel.Support in the co-ordination of the Health & Safety Committee, Sustainability Committee and other committee's when they and if more are established within the company.Support in driving the employer brand forward and working with the local community and charities.Organise Employee Engagement Calander per annum and to facilitate different staff events / team celebrations.Training & ComplianceEnsure all Employee's are certified with a valid, in-date Manual Handling certificate.Ensure all new starters attend induction within one month of starting with the company / hotel.Support in the design and creation in new trainings / onboardings and implementation of such.Ensure all mandatory training is completed.Administrative DutiesIssuing of onboarding documents such as Offer Letters, Contracts, Polices, Handbooks, Payroll information.Ensure references are checked and on file for all new starters.Manage new starter and leaver processes.Manage payroll and resolve an queries or issues that may arise.Monitor and review absences and lateness's across each department.Monitor and manage employee holiday balances.Ensure employee files are updated constantly.Ensure training matrix is regularly updated and submitted once per month to the Director of HR, Culture and Training and the General Manager alongside other monthly HR reports that may be required.Review Right to Works Documents / Visa's on weekly basis and submit eligibility report to the Director of HR, Culture and Training for sign off.Complete administrative tasks as directed by your line manager.Deal with day-to-day queries from employees.RequirementsPrevious experience in Hospitality, working in a team leader or supervisor position.Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to operational needs.Commitment to mentoring, supporting, and developing the wider team across admin, support centre and operations.Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
