We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing month-end accounts, including journal entries and analytical reviews of expenses.
* They will also assist with the annual audit preparation and deal with external auditors.
Maintaining accurate financial records is crucial in this role. The Financial Accountant will need to identify all available grants from national Government agencies, EU programmes, public bodies, private foundations and industry organizations. Building strong relationships with these groups will ensure that we stay up-to-date on potential funding opportunities.
* Prepare grant proposals and file them with relevant authorities
* Work closely with the Engineering department to identify research and development projects eligible for tax credits
The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in accounting software systems. They must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical problem-solving abilities.
