Skills and Attributes Leadership Role Description Horizons is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist (Care of Epilepsy).
The role is based on the core concepts and competencies for the CNS as defined by the NCNM 4th edition (2008), including:
Education and Training Audit and Research Minimum Requirements Registration and Qualifications: Be a registered nurse/midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or eligible for registration.
Have a minimum of 5 years' post-registration full-time experience in the division of Intellectual Disability or related field, and at least 2 years' experience supporting individuals with Epilepsy.
Possess a Level 9 or higher academic qualification relevant to Epilepsy care, or be supported to attain one.
Professional Development: Demonstrate ongoing professional development relevant to Epilepsy (ID), or be supported to obtain it.
Competencies: Ability to practice safely and effectively within scope of practice, with the requisite knowledge and capacity for the duties of the office.
Additional requirements include maintaining annual registration with NMBI, good character, full clean driver's license, and access to own vehicle.
