Senior Grade Supervisor - Day Services Kanturk
Monday to Friday - 35 hours per week
Job Goal:
To implement an Adults Day Service Programme operating from Service Location in St. Joseph's Foundation.
To support service users to develop a range of occupational, educational, social and recreational skills with a view towards increasing their independence, knowledge and sense of achievement. The supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and reviewing the individualised programmes and associated work schedules within the department in consultation with team members and in line with the ethos of the Foundation
About the role:
* QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare or a relevant field (Full award) is essential
* Train the Trainer is essential
* Full Drivers licence is essential and access to your own transport is essential.
* Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post.
* The successful Candidate must have experience of managing and supervising a staff team and be up to date with current policy and legislation relevant to intellectual disability service.
* Location may be subject to change depending on business needs and requirements
GENERAL DUTIES
As the above is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities, this job description may be revised from time to time to take account of any change in requirements of the position or any other duties as may be assigned by the Adults Day Services Manager.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
* 2-3 years Supervisory experience in a similar environment, Intellectual Disability sector is preferred
* Experience working with people who have complex needs and a diagnosis of ASD
* Community based support experience
* Ability to develop and implement person centred programmes
* Working Knowledge of New Direction and the associated auditing framework
* Experience in education, day services is an advantage
* Excellent organisation and planning skills
* Ability to co-ordinate time tables, activities and plans based on the needs of people we support.
* The successful candidate will, on occasion be required to demonstrate flexibility in their hours of work to support people with social events.
