Mencap is seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Street, Somerset.
You will work with a diverse group of individuals with learning disabilities, assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support to help them lead fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities
Support individuals with daily activities and personal care as required.
Provide emotional support and help build meaningful relationships with those you support.
Collaborate with colleagues and use person-centred approaches to promote independence and well-being.
Requirements
A genuine passion for supporting others.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Driver required.
Contract options and working pattern
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
Part-time: flexible hours based on availability
All our services are 24-hour care.
Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life.
Days: 07:*****:00
Sleep-ins: 22:*****:00
Sleep-in payments and enhanced rates apply where available: a sleep-in option with an enhanced flat rate payment of £*****.
All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
