About the Role:
Our organization is seeking a skilled Clinical Research Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely under the guidance of Professor Roisin Connolly and team members.
The role involves coordinating clinical and translational aspects of projects, collaborating with pathology departments, scientific researchers, external laboratories, and data analysts. Key responsibilities include:
* Clinical duties
* Coordinating sample distribution to laboratories and managing payments for correlative studies.
* Maintaining accurate logs of specimens and results, linking with Castor databases where relevant.
* Collecting clinical data from relevant databases for abstract preparation.
* Supporting team meetings, including minutes, agendas, and follow-up tasks specific to projects.
* Providing support for other studies taking place in the Cancer Trials Cork unit at Cork University Hospital, as required and in line with funding guidelines.
* Engaging with stakeholders, sharing knowledge, and building relationships across functions.
This position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, organizational abilities, and awareness of time management.
About Our Organization:
We are a collaborative research team funded by the Health Research Board, aiming to bring together cancer specialists and research staff across southern Ireland. Our group includes three cancer trials units at Cork University Hospital, University Hospital Waterford, and Bons Secours Hospital Cork.
