A leading public sector organisation within the utilities sector is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Executive to join their team on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering impactful, multi-channel digital campaigns that support essential public services.Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day digital marketing activity across multiple platforms, while also managing and developing one direct report. This role is ideal for a proactive, data-driven marketer with strong social media expertise and a passion for delivering high-quality digital communications.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute and optimise digital marketing campaigns across social media, websites, email marketing and other integrated channels.Manage and maintain the organisation’s social media presence across platforms including Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok.Use scheduling and publishing tools (such as Sprout Social) to coordinate content calendars and ensure consistent messaging.Monitor, analyse and report on campaign performance, using insights to continuously improve results and engagement.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align digital activity with broader organisational objectives.Oversee website content updates, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and a strong user experience.Manage and support one direct report, providing guidance, feedback and development opportunities.Ensure all digital communications meet public sector standards, including compliance, tone of voice and accessibility.The Successful CandidateHolds a Level 7 (or higher) degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field (this is essential).Proven experience in a digital marketing role, ideally within the public sector, utilities or a regulated environment for at least 4 years'.Strong hands‑on experience with social media platforms and management tools such as Sprout Social.Demonstrated ability to manage or mentor a team member or direct report.Experience with digital analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, platform insights) and a data‑driven mindset.Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.A collaborative approach with a proactive and solution‑focused attitude.
