Counsellor Therapist Role
Our organization is seeking qualified Counsellors to provide high-quality counselling services to children on a sessional basis across Ireland.
Counsellors will collaborate with the Department of Education to deliver exceptional services, providing blocks of eight counselling sessions per referral.
Key Responsibilities:
* Adhere to the Code of Ethics of your relevant accrediting body
* Attend professional supervision while providing counselling
* Evaluate consent and referral forms for completeness and accuracy
* Collect information as necessary and issue summary reports
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations
* Engage in quality assurance exercises and support evaluation processes
Requirements:
* A recognized qualification at Level 7 or higher in a human science field
* Either:
o Hold a degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy from a recognized accrediting body
o Have full accredited membership with one of the above bodies and meet the required experience criteria (2 years minimum)
o Or
o Hold a professional accredited qualification in child and adolescent counselling
o Have full accredited membership with one of the following bodies: PSI, IAHIP, IACP, IAPTP, ACAP, or ICP
o Meet the required experience criteria (1 year minimum)
