Job Overview We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join a dynamic and supportive team at a manufacturing and office site in Co. Cork. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their IT career. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical support, contribute to ongoing infrastructure and systems improvements, and play a key role in supporting both onsite and remote users. Key Responsibilities Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to users onsite and remotely Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues Manage and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner Assist with onboarding and offboarding (user accounts, permissions, hardware setup) Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, PCs, mobile devices, and peripherals Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation Support basic networking tasks (e.g., routers, switches, Wi-Fi, printers) Administer Microsoft 365 accounts, permissions, and licenses Support Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune policies Apply system updates, patches, and configurations Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and policy development Occasionally provide support at nearby production facilities as required Requirements Essential 2+ years of experience in an IT support or similar role Proficient in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 troubleshooting Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune) Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Customer service-focused approach Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field Full driving license Desirable Experience with Azure AD or Microsoft Entra ID Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and practices PowerShell scripting for automation or admin tasks Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, etc.) Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 Business Central Benefits Hybrid working model (following onboarding and probation) Retirement savings plan Ongoing training and education support A supportive, collaborative working environment with strong development opportunities If you're an IT professional looking for a varied and impactful role in a stable and forward-thinking company, we'd love to hear from you.
