Affinity Fire Engineering is a specialised fire safety consultancy firm servicing a diverse range of clients and sectors throughout Ireland and the UK. We have vacancies available and are looking for proactive and experienced Lead (Senior/Associate) Fire Engineers to join the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Production of fee proposals, fire strategy reports and other relevant documentation as and when required.
* Maintaining client relationships.
* Managing projects from appointment through to completion.
* Mentoring junior staff, guiding them on professional development.
* Attend Client meetings, conduct site surveys and inspections and communicate the intended fire strategy to the design team and client through phone calls, emails and meetings as appropriate.
* Reviewing architectural drawings to determine potential fire strategy approval risks and opportunities to add value.
* Overseeing fire engineering calculations and modelling.
* Third Party Review/Design Verification.
* Assessment and understanding of the main Irish fire safety legislation and standards applied to buildings and industrial facilities.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
•A degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent Engineering discipline.
•Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Senior Fire Engineer within a Fire Safety Engineering team in the Irish construction industry, with some project management experience.
•Engineers Ireland or IFE Membership (MIEI, MIFireE or AIFireE).
•A thorough understanding of TGD B, BS 9999 and BS 9991.
•A thorough working understanding of the Fire Safety Certificate (FSC) process, including experience corresponding with fire officers.
•Working knowledge of regulatory controls. BCAR and a proven ability to develop and implement fire engineered design solutions in the built environment.
