POSITION SUMMARY The Bar Supervisor is responsible for the leadership, coordination and commercial performance of the bar operation at Hotel Kilmore. This role ensures exceptional guest experience, premium beverage standards, strong financial control and full compliance with licensing and safety regulations. The Bar Supervisor leads by example, driving team engagement, service consistency and revenue growth while embedding Hotels values across daily operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Service Leadership & Guest Experience - Lead and supervise daily bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. - Deliver exceptional guest engagement and service recovery where required. - Maintain premium presentation standards of bar, cellar and beverage displays. Team Management & Development - Supervise, coach and motivate bar team members. - Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate targets. - Support recruitment, onboarding and performance reviews. - Address performance issues in line with company policy. Commercial & Financial Accountability - Drive beverage sales and upselling initiatives. - Monitor GP performance and control wastage. - Ensure accurate cash handling and till reconciliation. - Participate in stock control, ordering and variance analysis. Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure compliance with Intoxicating Liquor legislation. - Uphold Responsible Service of Alcohol standards. - Complete compliance documentation via Flow and Alkimii. - Maintain incident reporting logs where required. Operational Standards - Oversee opening and closing procedures. - Maintain hygiene and HACCP standards. - Support banqueting and events beverage service as required. CANDIDATE PROFILE - Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory bar role. - Strong cocktail, wine and beverage knowledge. - Proven leadership and team management ability. - Strong commercial awareness and stock control experience. - Knowledge of Irish licensing legislation. - Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume environment. - Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
