Project Controls Lead (AD Operations)
MSD is looking for a Project Controls Lead (AD Operations) to join our high‑performing team in our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Dunboyne, Ireland. The Project Controls Lead will report to the Projects Lead and will be responsible for project controls and scheduling across a portfolio of projects, supporting end‑to‑end project planning, controls, and the delivery of integrated scheduling for technical transfer, new product introductions and capital investments. The role involves coordination with internal departments, external stakeholders, and communication with senior management to execute a mature project controls function.
Key Responsibilities
* Project planning and scheduling within a multi‑user Primavera P6 environment.
* Experience in qualification, startup, and product transfer planning, with additional knowledge of capital project activities considered an asset.
* Development of earned value progress monitoring and reporting systems.
* Decision making, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Strong project leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Coordinate effectively with multiple functional teams to ensure all necessary resources are allocated and available for planned activities.
* Organise and lead planning meetings to align schedules, priorities, and deliverables across cross‑functional groups.
* Monitor and manage adherence to project timelines, proactively identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts or resource constraints.
* Facilitate communication between teams to maintain transparency and ensure smooth execution of activities.
* Drive continuous improvement in planning processes to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
Your Profile
* Experience working in diverse planning and controls environments.
* Experience working on pharmaceutical startup projects and new product introductions, contributing to successful project execution and launch.
* Proven record in the development and management of project schedules to support production launch and product transfer within complex cGMP manufacturing facilities.
* Demonstrated ability to control project schedule, drive progress and develop mitigation plans.
* Demonstrated ability to provide “what if” scenarios and risk modelling.
* Establish and maintain program drivers and incorporate necessary changes.
* Able to work in multifunctional teams of diverse cultural background.
* Strong technical and business problem solving skills.
* Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and conflicting priorities across a broad range of facilities and engineering disciplines.
* Ability to interface with technical, scientific and management internal user groups.
* Experience in providing technical problem‑solving skills involving sites and functions within the organisation.
* Experience working on medium to large, complex projects supporting engineering, construction and start‑up activities for manufacturing facilities.
