But it's also the perfect setting for senior leadership retreats, high-level strategy days, rewards trips, and intimate business celebrations. We're not a conference centre; we're a private estate where teams can breathe, think, and properly connect.
This is a brand-new part of the business, so we're looking for someone who can launch it into the market from day one. You'll need strong industry connections, a knack for building relationships, and the confidence to get us in front of the right people quickly. Purpose of the Role
To launch, grow, and secure corporate retreat business for Virginia Park Lodge. The aim is to build brand awareness, create a strong presence in the Irish and international corporate markets, and convert high-value enquiries into confirmed business.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Development & Market Launch
* Introduce Virginia Park Lodge to the Irish and international corporate market as a premium estate for leadership and strategy retreats
* Build and nurture relationships with C-suite EAs, HR directors, event teams, DMCs, and senior leadership facilitators
* Use your existing network to quickly generate interest and open doors
* Represent the Lodge at networking events, showcases, and industry gatherings
* Identify opportunities for partnerships with corporate agencies, leadership coaches, and incentive providers
Sales & Account Management
* Drive new business and hit agreed revenue targets
* Manage the full sales cycle: outreach, pitching, site inspections, proposals, contracting, and handover to operations
* Maintain strong relationships with clients from first contact to post-event follow-up
* Work closely with the wider team to shape packages, pricing, and the overall product offering for corporate guests
Strategy & Insight
* Help define what a Virginia Park Lodge corporate retreat should look and feel like
* Provide weekly insight on trends, demand, lead sources, and where potential lies
* Track and report performance, pipeline, and conversion in line with business expectations
Collaboration
* Work alongside the Director of Sales, events team, and Lodge operations to ensure quality and consistency
* Feed into marketing strategy on messaging, case studies, and corporate-facing materials
* Support key annual sales campaigns and represent the Lodge within the Corrigan Collection when needed
Skills & Experience
* 2–5 years of sales experience in hospitality, events, luxury travel, or corporate experiences
* Existing relationships within the Irish corporate, agency, or events market
* Confident networker who enjoys getting out in front of people
* Strong communicator with a personable, authentic style
* Able to work independently, manage a busy pipeline, and deliver results without micromanagement.
* Creative thinker who can help shape a brand-new product
Package
* Contract: 12 months (full time / 40 hours), with potential to extend
* Base Salary: €50,000
* Commission: 5% on all confirmed corporate bookings
* Location: Ireland (with travel to the Lodge as required)
* Reporting to: Director of Sales
