Data Analyst Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a Data Analyst to join their team.
The duration of the post is 12 Months with possible extensions thereafter.
Working 35 hours per week the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €19.30 based on an annualised salary of €35,256 and will accrue 28 days' annual leave per year.
The is a hybrid role with the office location in Tullamore Co Offaly.
Purpose of the Post The Purpose of the Data Analyst is entering and managing data within the organisation.
You will ensure that information is accurately entered in the system and follow proper procedures for formatting and securing data.
You will also update data according to a set schedule or at a user's request, working to maintain data integrity while making these changes.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities include: Performing ETL and managing data on database software Visualising data for to provide insight through Power BI and other tools Updating data according to a set schedule or at user's request Maintaining data integrity while implementing required changes Supporting data quality assurance and control procedures Examining data for errors related to formatting, locating and eliminating duplicate entries, and resolving access issues when required Verifying information and updating the database to reflect requested changes Completing data related tasks and updating status on project management tools e.g.
JIRA.
Ensuring new data is correctly entered in the system.
Preparing reports and documentation related to the database system or data itself Performing data-related tasks Assisting with data migration and data integration activities Assisting in developing a strategy for migrating any outstanding legacy system data Assisting in upholding digital security to protect delicate information Assisting in regular monitoring and evaluation of information and data systems that could affect analytical results.
Professional Knowledge & Experience Excellent MS Office skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are expected Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to deal effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Experience of working in data analytics, Business Intelligence, or equivalent roles, as relevant to this role.
Experience in designing, writing and deploying ETL solutions.
Relevant experience in the area of database management, dataset analysis & preparation, tailored output reporting.
Knowledge and understanding of analysing end user requirement is desirable Strong with data visualisation tools e.g.
Power BI is highly desirable Experience of database structure and functionality is desirable Knowledge and experience of software development life cycle is desirable Experience in using REST API for data retrieval would be of benefit Experience with Azure Cloud would be of benefit Experience of this role in an estates / asset management / property environment would be of benefit Knowledge and understanding of the health service and the issues in implementing ICT enabled change would be of benefit.
