RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) for a Nursing Home in Co Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities Conduct internal audits and follow up on findings to ensure continuous improvement Lead initial staff induction and oversee ongoing training and professional development Encourage and support innovative clinical and operational practices Ensure full implementation and compliance with Company policies, HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines Hold regular communication meetings with all clinical staff to promote effective teamwork Build positive relationships with external community agencies, facilitating community involvement and resident participation in local activities Collaborate with the Marketing team to strengthen the Home's profile within the local community Implement the Company Health and Safety Policy to safeguard residents, staff, and visitors Oversee regular fire safety training and evacuation drills Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Home Maintain and implement a robust preventative maintenance programme Participate actively in staff recruitment, selection, and interviewing processes Conduct ongoing training needs analyses to identify and address staff development requirements Ensure clinical practices within the Home consistently meet relevant Regulations and Standards Requirements Qualified Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' management experience within the last 6 years in the care of older persons Post-registration management qualification in health or a related field Demonstrated track record in clinical management within a healthcare setting Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills Strong decision-making ability with a results-driven approach Proven ability to work effectively within, and promote, a positive team environment Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to the evolving needs of the organisation Benefits Bike-to-Work Scheme Company Events and Staff Engagement Activities Food Allowance / Subsidised Meals Free On-Site Parking Requirements Qualified Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' management experience within the last 6 years in the care of older persons Post-registration management qualification in health or a related field Demonstrated track record in clinical management within a healthcare setting Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills Strong decision-making ability with a results-driven approach Proven ability to work effectively within, and promote, a positive team environment Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to the evolving needs of the organisation
