Global Payroll Manager
Location: Limerick
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Are you an experienced payroll professional ready to take your global expertise to the next level? On behalf of our client – a fast-growing, internationally recognised provider of specialist engineering, design, and construction services – we are currently seeking a Global Payroll Manager to join their expanding team.
With over 30 years of delivering complex projects across Data Centres, Renewables, and Utility Infrastructure sectors, our client has built a strong reputation across the EMEA region and is continuing to grow.
This is a key leadership role with room for growth and progression. You’ll be joining at a pivotal time as the business continues to scale globally – ideal for a proactive payroll expert who’s ready to grow with the organisation.
This role would be on-site initially then move to hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee high-volume weekly and monthly payroll processes across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local legislation and tax requirements.
* Lead and mentor a team of payroll professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
* Liaise with global payroll providers and manage the integration of payroll systems in newly entered regions.
* Develop and implement robust global payroll policies and best practices.
* Work collaboratively with HR and Finance departments to align payroll with broader business systems and processes.
* Manage complex scenarios, including expatriate payroll and cross-border payment structures.
* Ensure timely resolution of payroll queries, delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders.
* Safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of all payroll data.
* Support audit and compliance efforts, including liaising with internal and external auditors.
* Drive internal control measures and support payroll-related project work.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in global payroll operations
* Demonstrated experience managing payroll across multiple international jurisdictions
* Familiarity with global statutory regulations including tax, social security, and benefits compliance
* Proven experience managing external payroll providers and vendor relationships
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office
