Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesPreparation of quotations, assisting the in‑house estimator, client follow‑up.Analyse drawings and other documents to seek quotations from suppliers and sub‑contractors.Take off from drawings to create orders for projects.Collect BCAR documentation, safety and handover files.Monitor health and safety software, update and amend as necessary.Perform measurements, evaluate quotations, and appoint suppliers/sub‑contractors.Consult with clients and vendors to discuss costs and agree variations.Monitor cost from vendors or sub‑contractors, explore variances, manage issues in conjunction with the manager.Create cost reports on actual costs versus sales.Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals.Travel to sites throughout Munster if required to attend site/client meetings.Actively promote and participate in improvement initiatives to improve quality, reduce costs, eliminate waste, and improve working methods, conditions and communications.Any other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor.Person Specification – Qualifications & RequirementsDegree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.Experience in both pre‑ and post‑contract cost management and procurement.Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential or domestic construction.Knowledge of the Irish market and Irish Building Regulations.Manual handling experience is an advantage.Experience, Skills & KnowledgeWell‑developed interpersonal and communication skills.Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience in dealing with clients, suppliers and sub‑contractors.Flexible and able to adapt to challenges of a fast‑paced business.Confident and adaptable to change in a rapidly growing organisation.Ambitious and interested in self‑development.Self‑starter with good motivational and inter‑personal skills.Rational thinker that can improvise when needed.Willing and able to make responsible decisions.Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland and possess a full clean driver’s licence.
