Job Description: This company provides critical supplies to the clinical, life science, and pharmaceutical industries in Ireland.
Support and maintenance is offered on all equipment sold.
Due to continued expansion, this company has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer with a strong background in clean air equipment (BSCs, LAFs, isolators, fume hoods, etc.) installation, commissioning, and service.
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and follow-up support and service for clean air equipment located throughout the island of Ireland.
Willingness to travel and occasional overnight stays is required; a set number of weekends per year must be worked, with premium pay.
Responsibilities
Providing on-site service of laboratory equipment: repairing, routine preventive maintenance in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Installation, maintenance, testing and repairing equipment.
Troubleshooting minor software problems, upgrading firmware.
Providing training to customers.
Ensuring product and service quality achievement.
Building and maintaining relationships with customers.
Promoting and growing the service business of the company.
Cooperating with the company's Sales Team to identify and progress opportunities for the sale of new equipment.
Essential Qualifications
Experience as a field service engineer.
Full clean EU driving licence.
NFQ Level 6 qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechatronic engineering, HVAC or similar.
Excellent IT skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and manage own workload.
Current passport and willingness to travel abroad for product training.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with clean air installation, commissioning and service.
CTCB-I certification.
