Senior Legal Counsel (FS/Payments Business, Remote)
We are partnering with a well-known financial services and payments group currently hiring a Senior Legal Counsel. This company boasts a strong reputation as an excellent employer with a top-tier legal team.
The position is remote, based anywhere in Ireland, with occasional office attendance as required.
Start Date
Ideal candidates should be available to start by August 1st, with no more than 2 months' notice.
Role Responsibilities
* Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts such as confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, service agreements, joint venture agreements, and IT supplier contracts including software development, maintenance, and licensing agreements.
* Advising on regulatory and compliance issues related to financial and payment services laws, anti-money laundering regulations, payment card scheme rules, and data protection.
* Managing intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark applications and oppositions.
* Handling general litigation matters.
* Supporting corporate transactional work, including drafting and negotiating documents, conducting due diligence, and project management.
* Providing ad hoc legal advice across various legal areas.
* Supervising and mentoring legal executives and junior lawyers to support their development.
Candidate Profile
* Irish qualified lawyer with extensive experience in commercial transactions.
* At least 4 years PQE, preferably gained in a top-tier law firm or within a payments/financial services company.
* Strong business judgment and ability to work independently.
