An award-winning advisory firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Directorto join their growing Energy Transition M&A Advisoryteam, operating across Ireland and the UK.
About the Role This is a senior leadership position within a high-performing M&A advisory team specialising in therenewable energy and energy transitionsectors.
You'll play a key role in driving strategic transactions, from origination to execution, leveraging your deep sector expertise to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities: Identify and originate new opportunities, using your market knowledge and network within the renewable energy sector.
Lead buy- and sell-side transactions end to end, including deal structuring and negotiation.
Advise clients on M&A strategy, deal planning, and the preparation of renewable energy businesses and assets for sale.
Co-ordinate multidisciplinary advisory teams to optimise deal value and manage stakeholder engagement.
Review and oversee complex financial models, including project finance and DCF models, ensuring robust analysis and strategic insights.
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
About You We're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded leader who brings a mix of technical expertise, sector insight, and relationship-building skills.
You'll bring: A professional financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent).
Extensive post-qualification experience within M&A, corporate finance, or investment advisory.
Proven experience in renewable energy M&A within Ireland (essential).
Strong track record in originating, structuring, and executing M&A transactions.
Advanced financial modelling skills, including DCF and project finance analysis.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities.
Experience leading cross-functional deal teams and coordinating external advisers.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for the energy transition.
