Job Overview
A Senior Property Surveyor is sought to oversee the management and maintenance of commercial and/or residential buildings. This key leadership role demands excellent client-facing skills, strong organisational ability, and the capacity to coordinate projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough building inspections and prepare detailed reports.
* Manage all aspects of property portfolios, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and leasehold obligations.
* Deliver expert advice on landlord and tenant matters, including lease obligations, dilapidations, and repair liabilities.
* Prepare and review maintenance plans, schedules of condition, and refurbishment specifications.
* Liaise with clients, tenants, legal advisors, managing agents, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards across all properties.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will possess a Degree in Building Surveying, Property Management, or a related discipline. MRICS or working toward chartership is preferred but not essential. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a property/building surveying environment is also required. Strong knowledge of commercial leases, service charge mechanisms, and property legislation is essential. Additionally, proven experience in property management and service charge consultancy, excellent report writing and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary.
