A Senior Site Engineer is required for an established contractor to work on large-scale data centre projects in Kildare and Dublin counties. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering high-quality projects. The successful candidate will have a solid background working with civils or groundworks contractors in Ireland or the UK and be confident managing technical and site operations.
Duties
* Oversee setting out engineers and carry out accurate surveying work as a senior site engineer.
* Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications.
* Coordinate with foremen, crews, subcontractors, suppliers, main contractor, and client.
* Plan and schedule construction works (daily, 1‑week, 4‑week, 12‑week lookahead).
* Track men and resources on a day‑to‑day basis.
* Take off and order materials just‑in‑time.
* Prepare technical submittals and maintain site records.
* Attend site progress and safety meetings.
Requirements
* Degree‑qualified in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience on‑site in groundworks and civil engineering, preferably with civils/groundworks contractors in Ireland or the UK.
* Hands‑on experience managing teams and subcontractors.
* Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* Eligible to work in Ireland.
* Full driving licence.
* Company vehicle.
