Design and Development Engineer
This role requires an experienced engineer with a strong background in process safety design engineering.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design of key strategic capital programs and initiatives and ensuring new and existing products are manufactured to PepsiCo standards and consumer expectations.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide process safety engineering capability specializing in process design solutions for PGCS Beverage Concentrate Manufacturing Platforms
* Ensure new & existing products/formulas are manufactured to PepsiCo standards and consumer expectations
* Lead the design of key Strategic Capital Programs and Initiatives
* Develop designs incorporating innovative solutions and leverage new technology to deliver value to the business
* Develop and leverage best practices from PepsiCo divisions as well as from other industries to deliver world-class performance in plant and equipment design
Requirements
* 5-10 years process industry experience in liquids and powders processing & overall plant manufacturing engineering
* Extensive design & project management experience
* Process safety experience
* Degree qualification in Chemical, Process, or equivalent engineering discipline
* Experience required in the following areas:
o Application of technical standards (Machinery Safety, ATEX Directives, FM Global data sheets etc)
o Hygienic design
o Process safety
o Management of projects from concept level, front-end design & detail design
o Business case and capital approval
o Design, Procurement and Installation
o Construction, Commissioning and Validation
o Environmental, health and safety management
o Contractor and Construction Management
o Team management
