Are you ready for something different?As the Customer Engineering Lead, you will drive collaboration across engineering, product, and customer operations. You will manage a high-impact team of engineers while remaining deeply involved in technical activities such as automation, and operational excellence across customer and payroll provider integrations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating a team, solving complex technical problems, building scalable systems, and processes that directly impact Payslip customers.ResponsibilitiesSpearhead and mentor a team of 3–6 Customer Engineers, fostering strong engineering practices and problem-solving skillsOwn delivery and operational excellence for customer mappings between customers, Payslip, and payroll providersSupport team growth, including scaling the team and participating in technical recruitmentDrive continuous improvement through well-defined KPIs, quality metrics, and actionable insights.Technical Strategy & Solution DeliveryDefine and own mapping rules, workflows, and integration standards between customers, Payslip, and payroll providersDesign and architect automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve scalabilityCoordinate the creation of internal tools, playbooks, and reusable frameworks that strengthen operational excellenceDefine and execute test strategies and test plans, continuously increasing automation and reliabilityProvide hands-on technical guidance during complex integrations, escalations, and design discussions.Qualifications & SkillsA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience working in software development or technical delivery environments, including previous experience mentoring engineersSolid technical background with exposure to Python, PSH.
