Dean of School of Education

The Dean of School is a senior academic leader responsible for the development and implementation of the School's academic strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

* Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement and lead the academic strategy of the School.
* Effective Governance: Promote effective governance and support periodic re-engagement and institutional review processes.
* Collaborative Leadership: Participate in the development of the College strategy as a member of the Academic Leadership Team.
* Excellence in Teaching and Research: Ensure excellence in teaching, learning, assessment, scholarship, and research, and service.
* Programme Development: Proactively develop the portfolio of programmes and seek opportunities for new and modified programmes.
* Compliance and Regulation: Ensure College compliance with legal and statutory requirements and direct the recruitment, admission, and registration of well-qualified students.
* Internationalisation and Networking: Develop strong internal/external networks and strategic alliances and promote the visibility and reputation of the College nationally and internationally.
* Research Direction: Responsible for strategically directing and overseeing Internationalisation initiatives and engaging with the wider HE sectors nationally and internationally.
