As our new Veterinary Nurse, you'll bring your clinical expertise, attention to detail, and love of dogs to ensure our veterinary suite runs smoothly, our dogs stay healthy, and our adopters receive excellent support and guidance.
What you'll be doing: Oversee the day-to-day running of our veterinary suite, ensuring it operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standardsProvide hands-on clinical care and support for dogs across the centre, collaborating with the behaviour and management teams to ensure patient welfareSupport the veterinary surgeon in consultations and surgical procedures, while maintaining accurate clinical records and handling medication dispensingLiaise with the Veterinary & Welfare Manager and attending vet to guide rehoming and medical decisions based on individual dog needsSchedule appointments, manage records and invoicing, and complete administrative tasks with diligence and attention to detailOffer expert advice and compassionate support to adopters before and after adoption, providing reassurance, clarity, and careWhat We're Looking For: Veterinary Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy clinical settingOrganised, detail-oriented, and confident managing both clinical and administrative responsibilitiesExcellent communication skills, both with team members and the publicEmotionally resilient and calm under pressure - able to work compassionately in a welfare-focused environmentProactive, flexible, and a strong team player with sound judgementStrong IT and record-keeping skills, comfortable using Microsoft 365 and clinical softwarePassionate about dog welfare, with a solid understanding of canine health and behaviourExperience in a shelter medicine or charity environmentA full clean driving licenceWhy Join Us?
