Site Engineer Residential Construction (Setting Out / RC Frame) Location: Glenageary, South County Dublin** Sector: Residential Development Salary: €65000€75,000+ DOE Type: Permanent About the Role A well-established main contractor delivering a high-quality residential development in Glenageary is seeking a Site Engineer with strong setting-out capability and a solid understanding of RC frame and structural works. This is a key technical role supporting the Project Manager in driving programme, quality, and compliance on a busy Dublin site. Ideal for an engineer who enjoys precision, problem-solving, and being at the centre of site operations. Key Responsibilities Carry out all setting out for groundworks, RC frame, drainage, services, and structural elements using GPS, total station, and levelling equipment. Maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings, surveys, QA documentation, and daily checks. Support programme delivery by ensuring setting-out information is issued ahead of schedule and aligned with sequencing requirements. Coordinate with the Project Manager, foremen, and subcontractors, ensuring works are built to specification and tolerances. Review drawings and technical documents, highlighting discrepancies and assisting with design coordination. Monitor quality and compliance, ensuring works meet Irish building regulations and project standards. Assist with site safety, ensuring control measures are in place around excavation, temporary works, and structural activities. Liaise with suppliers and design teams to ensure timely delivery of information and materials. Ideal Candidate 25+ years experience as a Site Engineer on residential or commercial projects. Strong setting-out skills with proven experience in RC frame and structural works. Proficient with GPS, robotic total station, and surveying software. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and Irish building regulations. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work proactively to support programme and site progress. Full legal right to work in Ireland. Based in, or willing to commute to, South County Dublin.
