Purpose of the Role
The Site Engineering Lead is a member of the SM GET LT Team. This position provides leadership and direction for resources and activities in Asset Management to support the manufacture of APIs and other products as part of the Innovative Medicines portfolio. The incumbent is the lead of a team that is responsible for providing innovative engineering and technology solutions, elite maintenance practices and next‑gen automation support for site operations.
Responsibilities
Develop and be accountable to meet an engineering budget based on asset risk, criticality, availability, and unreliability costs.
Ensure the Engineering Team has the required size, skills, training, and ongoing development in technical, managerial, and business areas.
Implement standards for recurring work, including standard methods, safety analyses, resource planning, and cost compilation to maximise efficiency, minimise risks, and reduce downtime.
Continuous improvement is expected through KPIs, process monitoring, and implementing improvement opportunities.
Define engineering requirements for equipment reliability, availability, maintainability, lifecycle costs, and performance standards.
Review engineering standards, provide guidance on technology and components, and coordinate FRACAS and equipment reviews for asset reliability and capital planning.
Own risk assessment processes (e.g., FMECA, HAZOP, RCM), set mitigation strategies, and determine maintenance and spare parts needs.
Maintain up-to-date asset documentation and CMMS data.
Accountable for execution of engineering projects, NPIs, PLCMs, CIP, JJPS, and Lean initiatives.
Lead Platform Asset Management initiatives, ensuring their execution locally.

The Anticipated Base Pay Range for This Position is €85,000.00 – €146,050.00.
In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade/location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and company’s performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
