Fineco Asset Management DAC (‘Fineco AM’) is a Dublin based Asset Management Company, and a subsidiary of FinecoBank S.p.A. (“FinecoBank”). Fineco AM, which started its operations in May 2018, is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS & AIFM Management Company with a MIFID top up, and it currently has approximately €39bn in assets under management. Fineco AM is a competence centre- specialised in the management of fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, as well as Structured Solutions Funds. In addition to portfolio management activities, all key supporting and controlling functions, such as Compliance, Risk, Finance and Legal, are also performed locally.
The company started with 5 employees and has experienced strong and consistent growth, with a current headcount of approximately 90 FTEs.
Currently Fineco AM manages 3 UCITS Umbrella Funds – 1 in Luxembourg and 2 in Ireland.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Fund Solutions, you will join an analytical, curious and collaborative investment team. Key focus is to develop, share and debate investment ideas in order to deliver investment performance across the fund of funds for the benefit of clients. Leverage off your extensive investment knowledge, market analysis and fund research skills achieve positive results. You will be able to monitor your ideas and assess the effect on client portfolios through the company's data analytics. You will need to be a self-starter, who enjoys building positive working relationships.
Main Responsibilities:
Support the implementation and monitoring of trades across fund portfolios.
Assist portfolio managers in the day-to-day operational management of fund-of-funds.
Prepare and maintain regular reporting, including performance, positioning, exposures, and internal outputs.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality control of investment data and reporting deliverables.
Support operational processes related to portfolio implementation and fund management.
Assist in the preparation of materials for investment committees, fund launches, and internal governance forums.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution, coordination, and operational efficiency
Build a strong understanding of portfolio holdings, fund structures, and underlying strategies through hands‑on involvement
Supporting fund research and ongoing monitoring of external investment managers.
Contributing to the review and analysis of due diligence questionnaires and supporting materials
Developing an understanding of different asset classes, investment strategies, and portfolio construction.
Key requirements:
0–2 years’ experience in financial services, internships, or relevant academic background
Educated to university level (Finance, Economics, or related discipline preferred)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good working knowledge of Excel
Interest in developing technical and analytical skills over time
Willingness to pursue professional qualifications (e.g. CFA)
Strong interest in financial markets and asset management
Highly conscientious with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of tasks
Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
Organised and capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively
A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
Desirable (not required):
Exposure to financial market tools (e.g. Bloomberg, Morningstar, FactSet)
Awareness of emerging tools such as Copilot or data automation technologies
