Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the business across financial reporting, month-end close and core accounting processes. This is a hands-on role offering strong exposure to an SME finance function, with opportunities to develop technical expertise, commercial awareness and experience within the FMCG sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Assist with the month-end close process, including journals and accruals
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
* Support monthly sales and margin reporting by product, brand, customer and region
* Assist with discount and promotional analysis
* Support product cost analysis
* Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
* Support working capital management, including receivables, payables and inventory
* Assist with cashflow reporting and forecasting
* Support VAT, Corporation Tax and other tax filings
* Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and valuations
* Support statutory audit processes and respond to information requests
* Maintain accurate financial data within the ERP system
* Support the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
* Collaborate with commercial, operations and marketing teams
* Support ad-hoc finance projects and business initiatives as required
The person
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), with 1-3 years' pqe in industry
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced SME environment
* Willingness to learn, take ownership and develop within the role
* Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
Salary:
€65k - €75k plus benefits.
Hybrid working, 3 days on site
