This is a 6-month contract for an experienced, confident Bookkeeper who enjoys clarity, structure, and the respect that comes from working with a Head of Finance who genuinely values their input.

Based on-site in Limerick City, this position offers the option to work a 3- or 4-day week, giving flexibility without sacrificing ownership.
Youll join a small, skilled finance team where your precision and professionalism will have daily impact.

Youll report to the Head of Finance and take ownership of several key responsibilities, while also supporting team activity across other areas.
Your core responsibilities will include: Preparing and posting monthly journal entries Performing and maintaining bank reconciliations Preparing and submitting VAT and PAYE returns Bringing accounts to full trial balance stage Managing client account activity, including board receipts and payments As part of a collaborative team, you will also provide support on: Accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Basic credit control tasks and resolving account queries Supporting internal reporting and contributing to finance team improvements Who Were Looking For A minimum of 2 years experience in a Bookkeeper or finance assistant role Advanced understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial processes Strong track record with Sage or similar accounting platforms Demonstrated ability to handle Revenue compliance around VAT/PAYE Organised, accountable, and reliable the kind of person others count on A good communicator who enjoys being part of a tight-knit team Apply If youre a sharp, reliable Bookkeeper who thrives on structure and contribution and you're available to start soon this could be the perfect short-term move.
