Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Paving Landscaper to join our growing team in Galway. The ideal candidate will have experience in laying porcelain tiles, natural stone paving, and performing a wide range of hardscaping and some soft landscaping tasks. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes in both domestic and commercial landscaping projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Hard Landscaping:
* Lay porcelain tiles, natural stone, and other paving materials with precision.
* Carry out block laying for garden walls, edging, and retaining structures.
* Install patios, pathways, driveways, and other outdoor surfaces.
* Operate and maintain power tools and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
* Work from landscape drawings/plans and follow instructions to exact specifications.
* Set levels, foundations, and sub-bases correctly to ensure durability and drainage.
Soft Landscaping (as needed):
* Assist with turf laying (real and artificial grass).
* Carry out planting of shrubs, flowers, and trees.
* Prepare soil and beds for planting.
* Perform general garden maintenance duties as required.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in landscaping or a similar role.
* Proven experience with porcelain and natural stone paving.
* Skilled in general hardscape construction..
* Ability to read site plans and follow detailed instructions.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
* Physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work in all weather conditions.
* Full clean driving licence (preferred).
