The Role
We're looking for a
Founder's Associate
to work directly with the founding team on two key fronts:
1. Operations
– ensuring the business runs smoothly day to day.
2. Business Development
– building partnerships, selling sponsorships, and driving firm memberships.
You'll also play a pivotal role in
fundraising support
, helping to prepare pitch decks, investor materials, and strategic updates.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of a fast-growing startup. You'll gain exposure to every aspect of building a company and have a clear growth path into
Head of Business Development
or
Head of Operations
as Platforum 9 scales.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Founder Support
* Manage daily operations and maintain efficient workflows.
* Track KPIs, prepare reports, and keep the founder aligned on priorities.
* Coordinate initiatives across product, community, and marketing teams.
* Support the founder in meetings, sales calls, and presentations.
* Prepare pitch decks, investor updates, and fundraising documents.
* Tackle ad hoc projects in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Business Development & Partnerships
* Drive sales of sponsorship packages and firm memberships.
* Build partnerships with law firms, universities, and professional organisations.
* Identify, qualify, and nurture new business leads.
* Represent Platforum 9 at industry events and networking opportunities.
* Collaborate with marketing to create sales collateral and outreach campaigns.
Qualifications
* 2–4 years of experience in operations, sales, partnerships, or business development (startup/tech/legal industry a plus).
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Confident communicator, comfortable in client meetings and presentations.
* Experience creating pitch decks, sales material, or investor updates.
* Proactive and adaptable — thrives in a fast-paced, unstructured startup.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for legal tech and community-building.
