Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Sligo (Hybrid - 2 days onsite, 3 remote)
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our technology-driven financial services provider in Sligo. As part of ongoing growth, we are expanding our software engineering division and looking for an experienced professional to play a key role in the delivery of enterprise-grade applications.
You will be joining a highly experienced and collaborative technical team that values clean code, scalable systems, and best-in-class software architecture.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using .NET (6/7), C#, and Azure.
* Participate in system design discussions, contributing to architecture and code review processes.
* Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust and secure features.
* Lead technical decision-making on assigned projects and mentor junior developers.
* Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable code delivery.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of .NET ecosystem updates and promote best practices within the team.
Required Skills:
* 5+ years of commercial experience in .NET software development.
* Strong experience with C#, Web API, and SQL.
* Proven experience in cloud-based development (Azure preferred).
* Strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.
* Experience working within regulated environments (finance, insurance, pharma, is an advantage).
* Ability to mentor other engineers and provide technical leadership.
