Job Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines using cloud-based data platforms.
* Design and optimise ETL/ELT processes to ensure robust data quality and security.
* Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI methodologies to deliver actionable business insights.
* Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and data architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
* Monitor and enhance data systems for performance and cost efficiency.
* Support data analysts and business units by delivering clean, well-documented, and accessible data.
* Promote best practices in data engineering, documentation, and solution design.
* Maintain awareness of technological trends to continuously improve data solutions.
Experience Required
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in data engineering or data science roles.
* Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms and data warehousing technologies.
* Proficiency in Python and SQL programming.
* Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL pipelines, and distributed data processing.
* Demonstrated experience applying AI and machine learning frameworks in a business context.
Desirable Skills
* Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Services (e.g. Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) and Snowflake.
* Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
* Understanding financial services operations and regulatory environments.
* Experience in agile environments and continuous improvement methodologies.
Educational Requirements
* A third-level degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline is required.
