At Manna, we're changing how the world receives things — by taking delivery to the skies.
Our mission is simple but ambitious: to make high-speed suburban delivery affordable, green, and safe .
We design and build our own aviation-grade drones that deliver food, coffee, groceries, and more directly from local stores and vendors to people's doors in just a few minutes.
We're a team that Drive with Impact, are Safety Focused, and knows that the best ideas come from Team Players who show up as their Authentic Selves .
We move fast, we are passionate about what we do, and we're always pushing a growth mindset to be better in everything we do.
If you want to build world-changing technology with real-world impact (and have a bit of fun while doing it), you'll love it here.
Welcome to Manna — where we deliver the future.
Role Purpose We're hiring a Systems Integration Engineer to work at the point where software, hardware, and flight systems come together.
This role is responsible for integrating and bringing up the drone system end-to-end — taking a holistic view across software, hardware, and flight systems, and using hands-on testing and experimentation to debug issues, understand system behaviour, and drive performance in real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities: Integrate software, hardware, and flight subsystems across the drone platform Perform system bring-up, testing, and validation in lab and field environments Debug system-level issues spanning software, firmware, and hardware Analyse logs, telemetry, and test data to identify root causes of failures Design and run experiments to understand system behaviour and improve performance Validate system behaviour under normal and degraded conditions Support flight testing and investigation of real-world performance issues Work closely with software, hardware, and flight science teams to improve system performance Document system behaviour, test results, and findings to improve repeatability and understanding Support safety validation by identifying risks and providing test evidence to certification teams Requirements 2+ years experience in systems engineering, robotics, hardware integration, or similar Hands-on experience working with software–hardware systems Strong debugging skills across system boundaries (software, firmware, hardware) Experience working with sensors (e.g. GPS, IMU, cameras, LiDAR) Ability to analyse logs, telemetry, and system behaviour Comfortable working in lab and real-world testing environments Practical, problem-solving mindset — focused on getting systems working Experience with Python, C++, or similar (for debugging, tooling, or analysis) Nice to Have Experience with embedded or real-time systems Experience in aviation, robotics, or safety-critical systems Familiarity with system validation, failure modes, or FMEA-type thinking Why This Role Matters This is the team that answers: "Does the system actually work?"
You'll be at the centre of that — turning designs into working, reliable systems through testing, iteration, and experimentation.
Final Note This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and grounded in reality.
You'll spend time in labs, on test sites, and working directly with the system — not just behind a desk.
