Our Public Sector client is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join their Capital & Estates Department in Dublin West on a major healthcare infrastructure project.
This is an initial 1-year contract role which offers great scope for extension and future permanency.

Responsibilities
9. Managing the necessary and appropriate consultation processes, meetings and
other activities necessary to satisfactory completion of the project.
10. Acting as senior administrative officer for the management Of the project and
helping to resolve quickly such issues as may be for resolution and agreement.
11. Liaison with equipping team to ensure programme and installation
requirements are in alignment.
12. Developing proposals with selected design teams and contractors.
13. Obtaining approval to proposals as necessary in accordance with protocols and
regulations in a timely manner.
14. Ensuring that the brief is known and understood, in appropriate detail, by all
those who are likely to work in the new facility.
15. Developing action plans for the timely and efficient completion Of contracts.
Having close liaison with the design team, site supervisory staff, etc. on the one
hand and hospital personnel on the other.
16. Supervising staff and contractors in the implementation of agreed programmes.
17. Working with service management to ensure that the equipping/commissioning/handover teams are established in good time, adequately briefed and trained, and effectively supported in carrying out its
work.
18. Liaison and coordination with site inspectorate team.
19. Managing and controlling agreed project timescales and budgets for construction and equipping and budgets to agreed quality standards.
20. Anticipating risks and issues, especially those arising from phasing, variations, commissioning and vacating, and ensuring that where necessary these are
either resolved directly or brought to the notice of the Programme Board, for decisions on avoidable claims for delays, extras etc.
Requirements
21. Hold a Level 8 (or higher) QQI major academic award in Architecture, Engineering or Surveying accredited by the relevant Professional Institute.
22. or Have Appropriate Membership of the relevant professional association:
o Society Of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland
o Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
o Engineers Ireland
o Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland.
23. Have had at least 7 years' satisfactory & relevant experience in planning, design,
project management or construction of buildings or in the installation or maintenance Of the mechanical, electrical, & heating services of such buildings.
24. A high level of knowledge & experience of the construction of buildings & building services & an understanding of the maintenance requirements.
25. Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare environment, particularly of residential buildings, hospitals and other health facilities.
26. Knowledge of relevant internationally accepted standards in relation to the design and maintenance of health care buildings.
27. Knowledge of option appraisal procedures, brief writing & building user consultation, cost estimation & control, hospital design, healthcare & project management & of the procurement process appropriate to public sector capital projects.
