We are looking for a talented
Executive Sous Chef
to join a prestigious luxury property in Cork, known for its exceptional culinary offerings and commitment to providing guests with an unforgettable dining experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven chef to contribute to a renowned kitchen that emphasizes modern Irish cuisine with a creative, contemporary twist.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Development:
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal menus that showcase the finest local ingredients, blending modern Irish flavours with international influences.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of chefs, ensuring a harmonious and efficient kitchen environment while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Kitchen Operations:
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including inventory management, stock control, and food preparation, ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards.
Standards Maintenance:
Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.
Costing & Budgeting:
Assist with food costing, budgeting, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability without compromising quality.
About You
You will have a strong background in fine-dining or luxury hospitality environments and a passion for modern Irish cuisine.
You thrive in a fast-paced kitchen and are excited about the opportunity to develop menus that delight guests while showcasing local, sustainable ingredients.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a high-end kitchen, with previous experience in a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef role.
Skills:
Expertise in modern Irish and international cuisines, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a strong work ethic.

A proactive, hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in a busy kitchen environment.
