Social network you want to login/join with:Key Responsibilities and Requirements:Works independently on technical activities without direct supervision.Conducts technical searches and analyzes information in support of the project team.Demonstrates responsibility for highly specialized technical objectives or problems where the relationships between cause and effect are difficult to establish and little or no precedence exists, requiring creative and imaginative thinking.Applies technical expertise and has full knowledge of related disciplines.Develops technical solutions to complex problems using ingenuity and creativity.Leads research initiatives in electromagnetics transient phenomena, focusing on renewables such as wind and solar energy systems.Oversees the development of innovative HVDC inverter technologies to improve low-energy system performance.Additional Requirements:Develops relationships with primary advisors in research areas.Assists EPRI sales staff in Member Services and International programs.Communicates strategies and results through reports, meetings, webcasts, workshops, and conferences.Ensures work is coordinated across programs and informs parallel efforts.Provides oversight of project teams to meet technical and financial milestones.Organizes external and interdepartmental activities to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.Supports planning and execution of complex technical projects, including research report preparation and presentation.Manages small to medium projects, including budgets and resources.Interfaces with national and international technical networks (manufacturers, consultants, academia, research organizations).Supports proposal development and promotional activities.Develops research or service opportunities aligned with EPRI’s mission, solving customer problems and delivering actionable insights.Provides guidance and mentorship to junior staff.Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required.EPRI complies with export control regulations, including ITAR, Part 810 nuclear export regulations, and EAR. Candidates must be able to work with export-controlled technology/information without additional authorization.
