Job Title: Trainee Chartered Accountant or Trainee Accounting Technician, with a view to progressing to Trainee Chartered Accountant.
Experience: Trainee may have 0-2 years of relevant experience or training.

Job Specification:
* 3½-year training contract (CAI) or 2-year Accounting Technician.
* Initially working on small accounts preparation, including preparing accounts from clients’ records for sole traders, partnerships, and small companies under supervision.
* Progressing to audit work as a Junior.
* Moving to larger financial accounts reporting directly to a partner.
* In the third year, handling a mix of large financial accounts and audits as a senior.
* Drafting tax computations with review from the Tax Manager; gaining experience in company secretarial, payroll, and VAT.
Requirements:
* For Trainee Chartered Accountant: Business or Accounting Degree with a minimum of 2.2 or equivalent.
* For Trainee Accounting Technician: 340 Leaving Certificate points, including Accountancy, or equivalent.
* The candidate should be honest, diligent, considerate of clients and colleagues, and enjoy working with numbers.
* Must be inquisitive, capable of combining skepticism with consideration and common sense.
* Ability to take guidance and, as experience is gained, to provide guidance and advice.
