Position DescriptionJoin ESB Networks Fibre Operations Team and play a key role in supporting SIRO's fibre infrastructure. This position serves as a key interface between ESB Networks and SIRO, coordinating planned fibre alterations and additional fibre services, managing fibre fault repairs and ensuring all works are underpinned by accurate safety documentation, designs and materials.Success in this role requires exceptional teamwork and collaboration, working closely with internal teams and external contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes that maintain service reliability and support for SIRO.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the interface between ESB Networks and SIRO for planned fibre alterations as requiredEnsure necessary safety documentation, fibre designs, construction packs and materials are available for the construction teams to allow for efficient constructionAct as the point of contact with relevant project managers that drive alterations on the distribution networkCoordinate the interface between ESBN and SIRO for planned fibre services - management of planned and upcoming fibre services to ensure correct details, quotations, safety documentation, and materials are ready for implementationManage the day-to-day operation of the tickets raised by SIRO for fibre faults and customer drops, coordinating the completion through the agreed processes and close engagement with the delivery organisationFibre operations one source document developer, including the development of the online site safety workplace folderFibre operations procedures – update and embed across fibre team and the delivery organisationFibre drops and additional services – support delivery of fibre drops and additional services to ensure correct details, quotations, safety documentation, and materials are ready for implementationFibre Operations stakeholder management –lead the monthly contractor management review meetings with fibre splicing contractorlead the regular meetings with ESBN supply chain regarding the management of SIRO materialsattend regular SIRO operations meetingsThis position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop/ enhance the following skills:Programme ManagementStakeholder Management both within ESB and externallyTechnical knowledge of ESB Networks and fibre infrastructureCommercial and legal complianceEssentialKnowledge, Skills and Experience5 years relevant work experience is essentialTechnical knowledge of fibreTechnical knowledge of the electrical distribution systemExperience in creating and validating technical designsStrong customer service orientationExcellent interpersonal and people management skillsDemonstrated skills in MS office applications, including SharePointProven ability in document writingDesirableKnowledge of ESB Networks IT Systems including Hexagon GIS (previously GDesigner/GNetViewer )QualificationsA third-level degree (level 7/8) in electronic, communications or electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience (minimum 5 years).LocationLeopardstown, Co Dublin. However, as the role has a nationwide remit, other ESB Networks locations may be considered.
