Job Description
The Care Team is excited to advertise an open position for a Client Care Supervisor for Dublin Southside. The role is community based and requires a highly organised, flexible self‑starter with excellent time management skills and good initiative. This is a hands‑on management role based in the community. The successful applicant will be capable of managing all care aspects of day‑to‑day operations, be responsible and accountable, possess excellent communication skills, and is confident to lead the implementation of all quality care initiatives.
Responsibilities
Case management of community‑based clients
Assess new clients and develop/draft client care plans
Identify needs and requirements for clients, providing assistance in achieving goals for them to remain in the community
Manage a team of healthcare assistants in the community, introducing them to service users, shadowing care shifts to ensure quality of care
Train and upskill healthcare assistants to ensure best quality of care
Assessment and facilitation of new and existing carers and clients, ensuring all changes to care plans are immediately communicated to staff
Identify and train care assistants as directed; carry out assessments on clients; introduce care assistants to clients on their first call
Spot‑check teams of care assistants to ensure they are working to the agreed care plan, within their code of practice set out by Contact Care, that there is a safe working environment, equipment is used correctly, and client care is at a high standard
Supervise and direct activities of care assistants
Accept and process changes and amendments to existing rosters
Assign care workers to clients alongside the rosters team and Client Service Manager
Ensure working patterns meet the needs of the company, clients and carers
Provide additional cover for client cases and ensure adequate cover for sickness, absenteeism or holidays
Liaise with clients and care workers to ensure efficient service provision
Work with other members of the team to ensure high‑quality service provision
Maintain accurate client database records
Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the business
Be on call on a week‑on/week‑off basis (4‑week cycle)
Support and assist the Client Services Manager to complete tasks effectively
Requirements
FETAC or QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (or equivalent Healthcare Qualification)
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory role or minimum 2 years as a Healthcare Assistant
Good IT skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Excellent communication skills
Full Clean Irish/EU Driving Licence (Full B)

Minimum Qualification: Level 5 (incl Leaving Certificate / Leaving Certificate Applied / Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme) or QQI Level 5 Healthcare
