Job Title: Principal Heart Valves Engineer
Lead Innovation in Heart Valve Replacement Devices
This role involves leading the development of next-generation aortic valve replacements from concept to clinical trials, working closely with our team.
Main Responsibilities:
* Leverage expertise in material development, nitinol, and valve interface requirements to drive design decisions.
* Ensure all design and development activities meet regulatory requirements (ISO 5840) and clinical user needs.
* Develop detailed component and subsystem drawings/designs using SolidWorks software.
* Lead postdoctoral research candidates in implant development, including in silico and in vitro testing.
* Maintain records of design iterations, evaluations, test methods, and analysis.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor of Engineering degree or higher in Mechanical/Biomedical/Polymer discipline.
* Experience in stent design, polymer processing, and/or heart valves.
* At least 5 years of experience in medical device process development/R&D.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks modeling and engineering drawings.
* Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis/Computational Fluid Dynamics application for implant development.
